How to Get Rid of Pixelation in Sims

One of the ever-present elements of the "The Sims" games is the presence of a pixelated area that blocks out the private parts of a Sim during activities such as showering. This can become a source of irritation, as it blurs out parts that could be considered as natural as any other activity in the game. In "The Sims 3," this element is as apparent as in previous titles. However, there is also a quick fix.

Instructions

    • 1

Download the nude patch (see Resources for link). You will have to use this patch in order to remove the pixels around the Sims.

    • 2

Extract the content of the file. It should extract a folder with two files in it. One is a text file, and the other is the file you will need.

    • 3

Locate the game folder. It should be at C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.

    • 4

Copy the downloaded file into the game folder. You will get a pop-up window asking whether to overwrite the old file with the same name as the new file. Do so. If you do this correctly, the patch file will replace the previous file.
