How to Sew a Furoshiki
A furoshiki is a wrapping cloth used to cover and carry items. It may be used in place of wrapping paper or it may be used as a general carrying bag for keeping your items together. Make a furoshiki out of a brightly colored, brightly patterned piece of cloth. Quilter's cotton works very well for this purpose as there are many prints from which to choose.
Instructions

1
Cut a large square of fabric. A larger square of fabric allows you to hold many items, while a small one allows you to hold smaller things in a compact fashion.
-
2
Turn the raw edges of the square down twice toward the non-patterned side and pin them.
-
-
3
Sew the folded edges down flat, giving the fabric square a finished edge.
-
4
Iron the furoshiki to give it a crisp, unwrinkled look.
