Directions to Knit a Garter Stitch in Round
When you knit every row of a piece knitted flat and turn your work at the end of each row, you get a bumpy fabric known as garter stitch. However, when you start knitting in the round on circular needles, you may be surprised to find that knitting every stitch produces stockinette. It is possible to make a garter stitch in the round, you just have to keep careful track of your rows as you work the pattern.
