How to Draw a Cross
Draw a cross by simply drawing two perpendicular lines or draw a cross by taking your time. The second method, where you use a rule to create straight lines and exact measurements, will leave you with a much more professional-looking drawing. Additionally, you can make the cross two-dimensional or turn it into a three-dimensional cross.

1
Create two lines on a paper, parallel to each other. They should be 1-1/4 inch long and about 3/4 inch apart. Draw two more lines underneath these, lining up exactly as if you were continuing to draw the lines downward. Leave a 1-inch gap. These lines should also be parallel. They should be 2-1/4 inches long.
-
2
Draw a line that intersects with and creates a right angle to each of the four lines at the 1-inch gap. This line should be one inch and travel away from the line it intersects. Connect the lines at the end of the inch. This creates the left and right arm of the cross.

3
Draw a line across the top and bottom of the cross that connects the parallel lines together. You've created a basic cross. Fill in the cross with any colors you'd like. Alternatively, proceed to Step 4 to make the cross appear three-dimensional.

4
Draw a 1/2-inch line at each place where lines intersect. This accounts for twelve places total. This includes two each at the top and bottom, left and right of the cross, and two on each side of the cross where the arms intersect the body. Draw these lines so that they create an angle between the line and cross, and so that the angle is equal on each side of the line.
-
5
Connect the end of each line to the two lines nearest it. Use the ruler to make the connecting line as straight as possible. Fill in the spaces between the outside line and the cross body/arms that this creates. The cross will look as if it has three dimensions.
