How to Add a Gmail Calendar to Outlook 2007

Google offers fully fledged calendar software for their users with the ability to create multiple calendars, use color coding and set recurring events among other options. If you are locked into using Microsoft Outlook at work you can still use your Google calendars in Microsoft Outlook. To do so you simply need to get your calendar URL and add a new Internet calendar to your Microsoft Outlook account settings.

      Go to the Google webpage. Click the "Sign In" link. Enter your username and password. Click on your name link. Choose "Account Settings" from the list of options.

      Click on the "Calendar" link. Click on the "Settings" link under the "My Calendar" heading in the left column.

      Click on the calendar that you want to add to Outlook 2007. Scroll down to the "Private Address" line. Click on the "ICAL" button. Copy and paste the URL that appears in the popup box.

      Open Microsoft Outlook 2007. Click on the "Tools" menu. Choose "Account Settings" from the list of options.

      Click on the "Internet Calendars" tab. Click on the "New..." button.

      Paste the calendar URL into the dialog box that appears. Name the calendar. Add a description. Click on the "OK" button when you are done. Click the "Close" button.
