How to Format Paragraphs in Notepad
Windows 7's Notepad program is designed only to manipulate basic text. Advanced formatting features such as centering paragraphs or double-spacing them do not exist. However, you do have a few rudimentary tools for formatting paragraphs, such as enabling word wrap, adjusting margins and using keyboard formatting tools. To adjust spacing in or between paragraphs, using keyboard tabs, spaces and carriage returns are you best bet.

Tips & Warnings
Although limited in features, Notepad is useful for creating basic text documents, such as HTML pages or textual databases, since it does encode the resulting file with formatting options.
