Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) is an Internet browser created by Microsoft and included with the Windows operating system. Internet Explorer 7 can be uninstalled using the "Add or Remove Programs" tool in Windows or through the Windows Command Prompt, e legacy of the pre-Windows DOS days. Keep in mind that uninstalling Internet Explorer 7 will result in the automatic restoration of Internet Explorer 6.

Instructions

      Click "Start," type "cmd" into the search field and press "Enter" to open the Command Prompt.

      Type the following command into the Command Prompt and press "Enter."

      %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe

    • 3

      Click "OK" and follow the prompts to completely remove Internet Explorer 7.

    • 4

      Type "Exit" into the Command Prompt, then press "Enter" to close the Command Prompt.
