Instructions

    • 1

Set the aluminum fascia out in the heat on a warm summer day. Leave it outside so it can adjust to the heat for at least two days. Set it in an area where there is no shade so it can expand. This will help prevent expansion of the fascia after it is already installed.

    • 2

Install the fascia on a warm summer day, not in the cooler spring or fall months. It will expand when it is exposed to the heat and ripple. Install the white fascia instead of brown, because it will not get as hot and will not ripple as much in the summer.

    • 3

Hammer in as few nails as possible during the installation process. Pre-drill 1/4-inch holes with a power drill every two feet under the metal drip edge.

Insert the corrosion-proof roof nails under the metal drip edge and into the roofing frame. Tuck the nails under the drip edge around the perimeter of the roof and not along the front face of the metal. Hammer the nails in place tightly enough to hold up the fascia.
