How to Hang a Ceiling Bat
There are many different styles of Halloween bat decorations: some have glowing eyes, some make high-pitched screeching noises and others glow in the dark. There are also simple thick paper or heavy cardboard bats that do not light up or make noises. These are often sold two or more to a package. No matter which kind you buy to decorate your Halloween party, it must be hung from the ceiling. Does this Spark an idea?

Check the bat to make sure that it works. Press the button or activate the trigger to make it light up or make noise. Replace any batteries, as necessary.

Determine where to hang the bat. A bat that screeches or lights up should hang in a high-traffic area to get the best effect. Paper or cardboard bats that do not do anything special can hang anywhere.

Place the stepladder underneath the spot where the bat will hang. Tear off a 1-inch piece of tape. Place the tape in the center of the string protruding from the top of the bat. Climb the ladder and press the tape to the ceiling.
