How Do You Put the Place Where You're at on Facebook?
Facebook Places lets you tell your friends and family what you are doing and where you're doing it at. The Facebook Places feature is only available on mobile devices; you cannot check into a place from your laptop or desktop computer. Due to privacy issues, use Facebook Places with caution. Your "check in" becomes a Wall post that is shared with your Facebook friends.

Open the Facebook application on your phone. If you don't have a Facebook application, open your phone's browser and go to m.facebook.com

Tap on the "Check In" button on the top navigation bar.

Enter the name of the place you are visiting into the text box. The auto selector will display a list of nearby places relevant to the name that you entered. Tap on the correct one. If the auto selector did not display the place, select "Search Nearby Places" or push the arrow buttons in the right column to browse through nearby places.

Enter your status update in the text box, if desired. This will be displayed beneath your Facebook Place "check in."

Tap or select "Check In" again to check into the place.
