How to Weld Gold
Fixing your favorite piece of gold jewelry, requires a process known as welding. The experts call this method "fusion welding." Permanent welding does not require soldering or torching. Fusion welding instruments are commercially made and have a small nib that comes from the base of the device. When contact is made between the welder and the precious metal, an electrical charge emits from the welder. The gold pieces melt together and instantly solidify.
