Help people find your location by including a Google map.

As a standalone webpage, Google Maps is useful for mapping out a location or directions between two locations for which you have the address. One way to aid others heading to your home, an event you've organized or any other location is to include a Google map on a Web page, in an email you send to them or to attach it to a post on a social networking website like Facebook or Twitter.

Instructions

    • 1

Create your Google Map for your location or directions between two locations. Click the "Link" button, which is located in the upper-right corner of the map.

    • 2

Click the mouse inside the field under "Paste Link in Email or IM," right-click on it and click "Copy." Create a new email message or instant message, right-click within it and click "Paste." Send the message to direct the recipient to your map. Alternatively, post the link to a social networking website like Twitter or Facebook, where you can "Attach" it to your post to provide a preview to potential clickers.

Hover your mouse over the field under "Paste HTML to Embed in Website," click inside it, right-click and select "Copy." Open the HTML document for the Web page into which you want to embed the map, right-click at the location you want to embed it and click "Paste." Save the HTML document and view your Web page to see the map embedded.
