How to Size Ballet Slippers
Ballet slippers are softer than pointe shoes and may be sized differently. Ballet slippers can be used during rehearsals or when pointe shoes are not required. You will need a specific tool to measure your foot. Using the tool, called the Brannock Device, may seem difficult at first but it is the ideal tool to determine the size of your ballet slippers.

1
Determine the size of your foot by using the Brannock Device. Place your foot in the device and determine your size by looking at the number next to your toes. Algeos states that your size will be determined by the heel-to-toe measurement. For example, if your big toe reaches size 8, your shoe size is 8.

Use a size chart to determine the size of your ballet slippers. Look for your regular shoe size on the chart; your ballet slipper size should be next to it. For example, if your regular shoe size is an eight, your ballet shoe size is a six.

Purchase ballet slippers according to the size chart. You can find ballet slippers at your nearest dance shop.
