A Tutorial on How to Make Your Own Panties

  Decide what pair of panties you are most comfortable in. These panties should be the ones that you would love to have several pairs of. Tear out the seams of the panties with a seam ripper to disassemble them. Separate the main fabric piece, liner and elastic band, and set them aside. Buy a sewing pattern that appears comfortable to you if you cannot find a pair of panties that you would want to duplicate.

  Visit a fabric store and purchase the fabric that you want your panties made out of. Lay the new fabric on a table or other flat surface, and then lay the main fabric piece from your sample panties noted in the first step on the fabric. Trace the pattern from the sample pair onto the new fabric to create an outline.

  Cut out the pattern that you have traced. Fold the edges over and pin them with a clothespin. Sew the edges and remove each clothespin as you come across it as you sew. Cut a soft piece of cotton fabric to use as a panty liner and sew it to the seams at the sides of the panties.

  Measure your hips at the location that your panties rise up to. Cut a piece of elastic band 1 inch shorter than the measurement of your hip line. Sew the elastic band to the top of the panties, connecting the sides.

  Try on your new panties to make sure they fit just the way you want them to. Disassemble them with a seam ripper, and start the process over if you have to until you achieve the correct level of comfort and desired fit.
