Persimmons have green tops similar to tomatoes.

The Asian persimmon or Diospyros kaki is a juicy orange-red fruit divided into two categories, astringent and non-astringent. Either type of fruit is suitable for eating raw, but the astringent variety needs to ripen fully before consuming. The persimmon's official name "Diospyros" literally means "the food of the gods." This Oriental cultivar is now grown commercially beyond Asia, mainly in warm locations like California or the southern U.S. Persimmons appear in late fall and early winter seasons.
