How to Make My "Sims 3" Toddlers Grow Up Faster

In "The Sims 3," players can create a Sim of all ages, from a baby to an elderly Sim. All Sims will age naturally during the game. For example, after a few days in-game, a toddler will grow into a child. For some players, the early stages of childhood may not be that interesting, and they may wish to skip certain stages, such as the toddler stage. By purchasing a birthday cake, you can force a toddler to age into a child right away.

Instructions

1. Click the "Buy" icon, located on the bottom left corner of the screen.

2. Click the "Outdoors" tab.

3. Click "Outdoor Activities."

4. Click "Birthday Inferno Birthday Cake."

5. Click on any empty table top or counter in your Sim's house to purchase and place the cake. The birthday cake costs 30 Simoleons.

6. Click the toddler in your household to select him.

7. Click the birthday cake.

8. Click "Blow Out Candles." A birthday party will automatically be thrown. At the end of the birthday party, your toddler Sim will automatically grow into a child, regardless of how many days are left on his aging meter.

Tips & Warnings

• You can only age a Sim using this method once during his lifetime.
