How to Share With Boxee on Facebook

Get social with Boxee and share your favorite shows with your favorite friends on Facebook. Boxee by D-Link allows you to make your own Boxee or buy a Boxee-powered device. It eliminates the need for a computer or laptop to stream movies or television shows to your television. Boxee was created to be a social devices as well as a streaming device that houses the ability to share and receive information about what you and your friends are watching.

Instructions

1. Register for a Boxee account on your computer, if you haven't, to access the "Services" page. Allow Facebook permission to interact with Boxee.

2. Click the check box next to "Facebook" on the Boxee "Services" page to allow the sharing of movies you enjoyed.

3. Click on "Settings" and then "Social" to activate your Facebook account on your television. Clicking the radio button turns your sharing permission on and off. Turn this on to post your movies to Facebook.

4. Selecting the heart icon during or after a movie allows you to publish that you "loved" the movie you just watched. It also allows you to type your own "Custom Text" before sending the message to Facebook.

Tips & Warnings

• You choose to share the shows you watch with Facebook. It doesn't update automatically without permission.

• Both your online Boxee account and the account on the television need to approve Facebook sharing for anyone to see the posts.

• If you choose to share your movie viewing titles, be aware that employers and others may view this information if your profile is public.
