How to Make a Star of David Stencil
The Star of David is a powerful symbol of Judaism. The star is composed of two equilateral triangles that form a hexagram, with one triangle representing the ancient tribe of Judah, and the other signifying the tribe of Benjamin. Nazis used the Star of David for identification of Jews during the Holocaust. Once you make the Star of David stencil, multiple images of the symbolic star could be applied to a wall for a border or to plain paper for Hanukkah wrapping paper. Does this Spark an idea?

- Computer
- Printer
- Computer paper
- Mylar sheet
- Cutting board
- Masking tape
- Craft knife

Open the word processor on the computer and set the font to Wingdings. Type the capital letter Y in a 400-font size to make the Star of David symbol, which looks like Y.

Print out the Star of David on computer paper, using the printer.

Place the computer paper on a flat surface and cover the Star of David symbol with the clear Mylar sheet. Trace over the Star of David with a pencil.

Attach the Mylar sheet to the cutting board with the masking tape. Cut through the Star of David image with the craft knife, leaving the areas where the lines intersect uncut.
