How to Get People to Join Your FPS Clan

First-person shooter (or FPS) games allow you to play from the point of view of your on-screen character. You are literally seeing through a character's eyes as he wields a gun and shoots enemies. A clan is a group of people who all play the same game online. If you've gone to the trouble of setting up your own FPS clan, there are a few ways you can go about getting more people to join.

Instructions

    • 1

Recruit the people you actually play with on a daily basis. As you play through your FPS online you may notice a player that impresses you. Use your microphone (if applicable) to talk to that person and ask them to join your clan. Send a message to their gamertag or user name directly from your console inviting them to join your clan.

    • 2

Visit the official message boards dedicated to the game you are playing. For example, the official message board system for the "Call of Duty" series is on the game's official website. Most of these message boards have a special section for clan-related purposes. Create a new post about recruiting for your clan, and see who responds.

    • 3

Get existing members of your clan to reach out to friends, family and other online players. This casts a much wider net across the Web than if you were to handle all recruitment issues yourself. Indicate to members that you have the final say about whether someone does or does not join (it is your clan, after all), but tell them to be on the lookout for talented players.
