How to Hook TD-4 to a Laptop

The TD-4 is a set of computerized, electronic drum pads and control module manufactured by Roland. The component is equipped with a variety of input and output jacks for connecting different types of equipment, including a laptop for recording and mixing. The laptop must be equipped with a soundcard and a MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) jack to connect with the TD-4 using a standard MIDI cable. The hookup takes less than a minute.
