How to Troubleshoot LifeCam Studio
LifeCam Studio is a computer program that lets you control your Microsoft LifeCab webcam. Using the Studio software, you can record videos, capture still images and even export your video to the Internet. If you're having problems with the software, it could be due to a configuration error with your computer or even to the actual LifeCam itself. You may need the LifeCam Studio installation disk that came with your camera to reinstall the software if you aren't able to resolve the problem another way. Does this Spark an idea?

Check the connection between your computer and the LifeCam, and ensure the camera is plugged directly into a USB port. Microsoft LifeCam webcams connect via built-in USB cables. If the USB cable is not firmly plugged into the USB port, the LifeCam Studio software will not be able to recognize the camera.
