How Do I Change the Status of My Political Party in Alaska?
When you register to vote in Alaska, you designate the political party to which you belong. If you don't specify a party, Alaska registers you as undeclared. (See References 1, Page 2). To change the status of your political party, Alaska requires you to fill out a new Voter Registration Application. (See References 2). The information you include on the new application -- such as your political party affiliation -- supersedes the information from your previous application.
