Kindle for the PC provides access to hundreds of thousands of e-books.

Kindle for the PC is a full-featured e-book reading application that can be used on most any computer without having to purchase additional hardware. The software can be downloaded free from the Amazon.com website. This app also allows Kindle users to switch seamlessly between computer, phone and the Kindle. Amazon's Whispersync technology remembers the last page a user was on, regardless of the device used, as long as it is connected to the Internet. The Kindle PC app is compatible with MOBI, AZW, TXT, PDF and TPZ file formats.
