How to Connect an HP Webcam on a Laptop

HP manufacturers several different types of USB webcams that you can use on any computer that supports USB devices. The external USB webcams come in several different models, but the installation process for these HP webcams are similar. The main difference is you may have a different software version of the installation disc, but otherwise the webcams are functionally similar.

• Webcam installation disc

Instructions

1. Slide your HP webcam installation disc into your laptop computer.

2. Click "Next" on the first installation window that appears. Read HP's license agreement and accept it. Click "Next."

3. Click "Change" if you need to change the target installation directory. Click "Next." Click "Next" when the InstallShield wizard appears.

4. Click "Install." Click "Finish."

5. Connect your HP webcam's USB cable to your laptop and wait for your system to recognize and install the proper driver for it.
