How to Draw Evil Joker Art

An evil joker is a character based upon the joker in a deck of cards. The Joker in the Batman comics is an example of an evil joker. Jokers encompass elements of a traditional clown combined with sinister traits. By combining these elements, you can create evil joker characters in your art work.

Instructions

    • 1

Begin your evil joker's face by drawing an oval. As you get to the chin area, bring the lines of the oval in to narrow the facial structure. Connect the oval at the bottom with either a point or a straight horizontal line to give the chin a pointed or a squared off look, depending upon which you prefer.

Draw hair on your evil joker. Use sharp, jagged lines to create a wild hairstyle. Extend these lines from about the midpoint on each side of the head. On each side of the head, just below where you began the hair, draw a pointed ear. The ears will look almost like a teardrop, with the point of the ear facing up.

    • 3

Draw slitted eyes on your evil joker. Begin with two lines running parallel, with the top line curved up and the lower line curved down. This will be the left eye. Draw a small circle inside this for the pupil. Repeat the lines and circle for the other eye. Draw a thick arched line over each eye for an eyebrow. Emphasize the arch to give the joker a more evil appearance.

Begin a line just below the eyes, centered between them. Bring this line down toward the left edge of the paper. Allow the line to be slightly crooked. This is the nose, which you want to appear lightly bent. Stop the line just above where you will draw the mouth, then put a little hook in it to create a sharp, pointed nose.

Draw the mouth. You want to create a smirk. Begin a line on the left side of the face, just below the nose (your left). Draw this line horizontal across the face, curving the right side up. Draw a downward curved line beginning from the same point where you began the vertical line. Curve the line down toward the chin and bring it up to meet the curve on the right side of the mouth. Repeat the lines inside the first lines to form lips. Draw crooked and broken squares inside the second set of lines to create teeth.

Draw a design on your joker's face. This should be some type of clown makeup design. Draw a flame around one eye or a bullseye around the nose. You don't need a design, but adding one can give your character a more authentic evil clown look.

Shade your drawing to give the features a more evil appearance. Add dark shading beneath the eyes, then add light vertical lines on the forehead. Shade the cheeks lightly at a 45 degree angle to give definition to the cheekbones. Shade around the teeth to add dimension there as well. The variations in the intensity of the shading create areas of light and dark that can help enhance the evil element of your drawing.
