How to Train Celebrity Bodyguards
Bodyguards that protect celebrities are the crème de la crème in their profession. They are the highest paid. But it is important to impress upon them the benifits of going above and beyond the basic credentials. Communicate that contrary to Hollywood's portrayal of bodyguards, it will be a challenge to get hired by a celebrity. Explain, beforehand, how the job entails long hours and high demands. Check for basic credentials. In order to legally work as a bodyguard in most states, the bodyguard will need to be registered as a security guard which requires a guard card and 40 hours of training as stipulated by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS).

Create a public profile. Suggest he create a website. A potential celebrity bodyguard needs to become accustomed to being in the spotlight. He can advertise his credentials, previous experience and training. Furthermore, he can upload photographs of himself performing security-related jobs. Bodyguards must be exceptionally fit in order to be the best at their job. A photo gallery will give him the opportunity to show off his physique and professionalism.
