How to Report Libel to Craigslist
Craigslist encourages anyone and everyone to post on the company's service; in addition to the classified ads that Craigslist is so famous for, it also provides several open discussion forums. The free-wheeling nature of Craigslist, combined with its veil of anonymity, sometimes leads people to abuse others on the website. Those words can land the poster in hot water. Libel, or defamation of character, isn't just an annoyance to the victim -- it's also a crime. Craigslist takes libel and all other forms of harassment seriously. You can report libel to Craigslist using their general contact form.
