How to Assemble Muzzy Broadheads
Muzzy broadheads are arrowheads designed specifically for bowhunting. They consist of three or four flat, razor-sharp blades joined at a slotted central ferrule and tipped by a screw-on sharpened point. The broadhead assembly is screwed to the threaded end of the arrow. Standard broadheads are static and nonexpandable. Mechanical broadheads blades fold up during flight and expand upon impact with the game. Standard broadheads have greater penetration and deliver a more sure kill. Mechanical broadheads with folded blades have more favorable aerodynamics and greater accuracy. The Muzzy MX3 is a standard three-blade, 75-grain broadhead with .025-inch blades and 1 3/16-inch cutting diameter.
