How to Draw Love Letters
Love is best depicted though actions or items that remind us of our own experiences of love. Love letters are a good way to trigger a sense of love in your audience. Drawing a love letter is easy. While a love letter can have many variations, a basic love letter is represented by romantically old-fashioned paper, the hint of a legible romantic word, and an extra cue to the audience that this is a love letter, such as radiating hearts.

1
Using a fine-tipped fountain pen adds a romantic texture to the drawing. Using a fine-tipped pen, draw a spiral from inside to outside. When it's a 1/2 inch wide, continue the line sweeping downward to another spiral drawn curving in the opposite direction, and from the outside to the inside.
-
2
Draw a two horizontal lines. One should come from the top of the upper spiral and go to the right and the other should come from the bottom of the lower spiral, and also go to the right.
-
-
3
Connect the two horizontal lines with a sweeping line in the same shape as the line from step 1.
-
4
Draw squiggles on the love letter paper you just drew. The squiggles should be parallel to the horizontal lines. Toward the bottom of the love letter paper, write the word love legibly, or XOXO, which means hugs and kisses.
-
5
Draw short lines radiating out from the letter, but not connecting to the letter.
-
6
Hearts inevitably add the connotation of love to any drawing. Above each line, draw a small heart, almost but not quite touching the line.
-
7
Shade in the hearts in red or pink.
