How to Make Honey Mints
On a warm day, a honey mint cocktail is refreshing and tasty. Whether you want to serve the drink at a gathering or enjoy one at the end of the day, honey mints are simple to make using a few ingredients. There are two variations of the cocktail -- one with vodka, the other with rum -- so you can enjoy a honey mint according to your preference. Things You'll Need
- Mint leaves
- Collins glass
- Wooden spoon
- Vodka
- Lime juice
- Agave nectar
- Honey
- Honeydew juice
- Cocktail mixer
- Ice
- Rum
- Club soda

Vodka Honey Mint

Place 8 to 10 mint leaves at the bottom of a collins glass, depending on how minty you want the drink. Break up the leaves at the bottom of the glass with the end of a wooden spoon to release the mint oil.

Pour 2 oz. vodka, 1 oz. fresh-squeezed lime juice, 1/2 oz. agave nectar or honey, 3 oz. fresh honeydew juice and a handful of ice into a cocktail mixer and then shake to combine.

Pour the cocktail into the glass and add more ice, if desired. Garnish with a lime or honeydew slice or two mint leaves.
Rum Honey Mint

Make honey simple syrup by combining equal parts honey and water and boil for 1 minute to break down the sugar. Allow to cool before using.

Pour 1 1/2 oz. rum (or light rum), 1 oz. honey simple syrup and 1 oz. fresh-squeezed lime juice into a glass.

Pour the mixed drink into a collins glass, add ice and top off with club soda.

Garnish the cocktail with mint leaves.
Non-Alcoholic Honey Mint

Pour 1 oz. each honey simple syrup and fresh lime juice into a glass, and fill halfway with ice before stirring together.
