How to Find the Length & Width of a 3D Box
A three-dimensional rectangular box has height, length and width. The height of the box is the measurement taken from the bottom of the box to the top. The length is the measurement of one of the box's long sides, and the width is the measurement of one of its short sides.

Set the box on flat surface so its longest side is horizontal.

Measure the long side with a ruler or tape measure. The resulting measurement is the box's length.

Measure the short side of the box. This measurement is the box's width.

Measure from the flat surface to the top of the box to find the height.
