How to Make an Electronic Bookmark

Saving a web-page with an electronic bookmark will let you easily access it at any time.

An electronic bookmark act like a bookmark would act in a paper book. Rather than saving a page, it saves a web-page. This is something that can be done on almost any browser. After bookmarking the web-page, it will be added to your bookmarked, or saved web-page list which is accessible from you browser. This is something that anybody with basic Internet use knowledge can accomplish and it only takes seconds.

• Web-page
• Internet Browser

Instructions

1. Point your browser to your choice of web-page that you would like to bookmark, or save. Type the URL of the web-page in the text field at the top of your browser and press "Enter" on your keyboard.

2. Click the icon that will trigger the electronic bookmark window to pop up. On Chrome, this is the star icon on the right side of the URL text field. In Internet Explorer, this is the star next to the word "Favorites" on the left side of the top menu bar. In Firefox, this is the "Bookmark this Page" option under the "Bookmark" label on the top menu bar. If you are unsure of where your bookmarking icon or option is, you can hover your cursor over the icons to make labels appear. Choose the icon labeled with "Bookmark", "Favorite" or something similar.

3. Confirm that you want to electronically bookmark the page. In Chrome, click "Done". In Internet Explorer, click "Add". In Firefox, click "Done". Other browsers may also have an "OK" option or you can just hit "Enter" on your keyboard.

Tips & Warnings

• Change the name of how the saved website is saved in the bookmark list by deleting and typing a new name the name in the name text field of the bookmark box that appears after you click the bookmark icon or option.
