How to Share Your Faith Without an Argument
Sharing one's faith can be extremely difficult. When introducing yourself to someone, it can be something that is brought up, but not made to be the most important characteristic about you. You must be respectful of other people's beliefs and value systems so you do not upset them when having discussions of faith. It is also important that the person you are speaking with be given an opportunity to voice her questions and opinions regarding discussions of faith.

1
Tell people about your faith, discuss how holidays are celebrated, what a typical worship service is like and what your basic belief system is. The more information that is provided, the more likely it is that others will listen to what you have to say. It is never a good idea to simply state your faith is better without giving information about it or even giving a logical reason as to why you feel this way. Share aspects of your faith and be prepared for questions.

Answer questions that the other person asks about what you share with them. It is not fair to share information about your faith without being prepared to answer questions from the other person. It is important to have the patience to answer questions, no matter how strange they may seem. This comes with the territory when sharing faith with others.

Allow the person you are sharing faith with to discuss her faith as well. It is only fair you allow the other person to share her views, whether you feel they are right or wrong. This allows you the opportunity to learn about a faith that is different from yours. You can also ask this person questions to gain further understanding of her faith and practices.

Share experiences you've had that have helped to strengthen your faith. Listen to what the other person says about this same subject. You may find that the two of you have the same motivation in common and can develop a mutual respect for one another's faith.
