How to Take Apart a Frigidaire Vegetable Drawer

Meredith Jameson

Frigidaire refrigerators are available in a variety of colors, finishes, sizes and styles and often come with several features, such as water and ice filtration, slide-out shelving, wine, bottle and egg storage, and vegetable crisper drawers that can be adjusted for specific humidity needs. You can remove the drawers for cleaning and moving purposes. In addition, if necessary, the vegetable drawer can be disassembled fairly easily with some basic tools.

Taking apart the vegetable drawer in a Frigidaire refrigerator should only take a few minutes.
  1. Pull the vegetable drawer in the refrigerator forward until it stops.

  2. Lift up on the front edge and pull the drawer up and out of the refrigerator.

  3. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws on all sides of the drawer, working from the rear forward.

  4. Lift off the lid and then remove the sides, front and back of the vegetable drawer.

  5. Wash the drawer components in warm, soapy water if necessary. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a towel.
