When oils interact with metal eyeglass frames, a green residue may form. Cleaning your glasses every night can help prevent the residue from accumulating.

Fill a bowl with warm water. Add a small amount of mild liquid soap, such as dish or laundry detergent.

Dip a clean cloth into the soapy water. Wring the cloth to remove excess moisture.

Wipe the eyeglass frames with the soapy cloth. Light rubbing will remove the green residue.

Dampen a soft cloth with cool water. Squeeze to remove excess moisture.

Wipe the eyeglass frames to remove any soapy residue.

Dry the eyeglass frames with a towel.
