How Can You Figure Out when Someone Is Poking You on Facebook?
Poking someone on Facebook is a simple gesture to grab someone's attention. Pokes are used for flirting, letting you know the sender is thinking of you, or as a simple "hello." When someone pokes you, a notification appears on your profile, giving you the option to poke them back or remove the poke. If you remove it, you lose it forever, but the sender will be able to send you another poke.

Open your Internet browser.

Log into your Facebook profile.

Look in the news feeds in the upper-right of your profile. The "Pokes" section displays the names of all poke senders, the option to "Poke Back," and an "X" to remove the poke.
