Multicast is the transmission of data or network information from a single source device to multiple destinations. One of the most common applications of multicast is streaming video. UPnP, or Universal Plug and Play, is a technology that allows routers to recognize and support connected network devices without any manual setup. The Netgear WNDR3300 wireless router supports both multicast and UPnP, which can be set up in the router configuration menu.
