How Do I Close My Livemail Account?

Live Mail is a free email client from Microsoft Windows. Live Mail features free email, news client, feed reader and electronic calendar. Live Mail also allows you to use multiple email addresses from one account. The email client is the successor to Outlook Express and Windows Mail, previous Windows email clients. An active Live Mail account is necessary for Microsoft-specific programs such as Xbox LIVE. If you no longer wish to have a Live account, it is easy to close your account.

Instructions

1. Log into your account on the Live homepage.

2. Select "Account" and then "Additional Options."

3. Select "Close Account."

4. Verify your ID and enter your password.

5. Click "Yes." Your Live Mail account is deleted.

Tips & Warnings

• If you do not log into your account for 120 days, it is automatically purged from the system.
