How to Post Music More Than Once a Day on Tumblr
One well-loved feature of microblogging site Tumblr is the ability to easily upload an MP3 to your blog and have it displayed as a playable file. Because MP3s tend to have large file sizes, and because they are often distributed without regard to copyright laws, Tumblr limits users' ability to upload more than one per day. However, there are ways to work around this limit by posting music you don't need to upload from your computer. Always keep copyright in mind and get permission before sharing content you didn't create.

Link to an audio file hosted elsewhere on the Web rather than uploading it to Tumblr's servers. The posting limit does not apply to audio files streamed from other sources. Find the direct URL of the MP3 file, copy it onto your clipboard and paste it into the "External source" tab of the "Audio" post page.

Re-blog songs other Tumblr users have posted. Search the directory for other music fans and see if they've already posted songs you were planning to upload; this saves you uploading time, as well as space on Tumblr's servers.

Post videos of songs instead of the audio files. Thousands of music videos can be found on YouTube and other video-sharing sites, and Tumblr does not limit the number of videos you link to in a day. If you need to upload a music video from your computer to Tumblr, you're limited to five minutes per day and a maximum file size of 100 megabytes per video.
