How to Upgrade the Growth Egg on "Final Fantasy XIII"

The Growth Egg is an accessory in "Final Fantasy XIII" that doubles the amount of crystarium points (CP) that are earned for defeating enemies. Attribute increases and abilities are purchased with CP, so equipping this item effectively doubles the rate your character develops. It is earned for completing mission 55, "Can't We All Just Get Along?" Upgrading the Growth Egg does not increase its effectiveness in any way. The only benefit is that an upgraded Growth Egg produces slightly more items when disassembled.

Tips & Warnings

  • It takes 7000 experience points to fully upgrade the Growth Egg. Any upgrade item can be used on it. The "Sturdy Bones" and "Semiconductor" method is the fastest, most cost efficient method to upgrade it.

  • There are no catalyst upgrades for the Growth Egg. A catalyst upgrade is when an item can be changed into a different item by adding a catalyst to it.
