How to Stop TMP Files
A TMP file is a temporary file which is typically created during the execution of application software, such as Microsoft Word, for example. Certain temporary files are required during the executing of a program and cannot be deleted while the program is running. For this reason, Microsoft Windows has a setting which allows you to hide temporary files. You can modify the settings via the Microsoft Windows Control Panel, in the "Folder Options" section.
