For an accurate response, use fingertips or curled fingers on the trackpad.

If you are a new user to the MacBook Pro, you may wonder how you'll perform basic functions, since a right mouse button does not exist. If you think of your MacBook Pro's trackpad as a large button, you can still display a right-click menu to save pictures or perform other functions. The MacBook Pro's Multi-Touch glass trackpad offers "secondary clicking" to enable quick shortcut commands. You can choose this option in the "System Preferences."

Instructions

    • 1

Click the "Apple" menu, then scroll to "System Preferences." Click "Trackpad" from the "Hardware" pane.

    • 2

Check the box next to "Secondary Tap" under "Two Fingers." Click the red button in the window to close the dialog box.

    • 3

Navigate to a photo on the Internet or your hard drive that you want to save. Place the cursor on the photo.

    • 4

Use two fingers to tap the trackpad and bring up the right-click menu. Choose "Save Image As" from the drop-down menu.

    • 5

Enter a name in the "Save As" text field, and then choose the location where you want to save the picture in the "Where" text field.

    • 6

      Click "Save."
