How to Silence Your Roland Fantom

Silence the audio output coming from your Roland Fantom by disabling the sound for each patch in your arrangement. The Roland Fantom provides multiple tracks for recording and sequencing of its internal sounds, as well as a full-sized keyboard. By going into the "Patch Edit" screen, then pressing the appropriate buttons, the individual parts of the patch will be silenced. Silence your Roland Fantom synth by making the appropriate settings in less than five minutes.

      Select a patch to silence. Press the "PATCH/RHYTHM" button on the keyboard's front interface, then press the "F7" key to select a keyboard patch part, or "F8" to select a pad part. Turn the value dial to select the patch group, or use the arrow cursor buttons.

      Access the "Patch Edit" screen. Press "Patch Edit," then "F8" to select the tone to be edited. The "Tone SW Select" screen will now open.

      Press buttons "F1," "F2," "F3," and "F4" to silence each of the tones contained in the patch. Repeat the entire process for each of the sounds contained in your arrangement.

Tips & Warnings

  • Turning the keyboard's "Volume" knob down completely will automatically silence the Fantom's sound as well.
