The Motorola Talkabout walkie-talkie allows you to select between 22 channels. The Talkabout also allows you to set an interference elimination code that reduces static and noise on the line. All the radios need to be on the same channel and interference eliminator code to communicate. Some Talkabouts let you scan for available channels using a monitor button, rather than cycling through them one at a time.
Step 1
Press the "Menu" button on the face of the Talkabout walkie-talkie. The current channel flashes on the screen.

Press the "PTT" button to save the channel setting.
