How to Take a Listing off Craigslist

Houses for sale are just one type of ad you can place on Craigslist.

Craigslist is an online classified ads website that allows you to place ads free. You have two ways of posting an ad on Craigslist: sign into your Craigslist account and place the ad from there, or use your email to place and verify your ad. How you delete an ad depends upon whether you were signed into Craigslist at the time you placed the ad or you used your email address.

Instructions

Craigslist Account

1. Log into your Craigslist account.

2. Click "Manage" next to the ad you want to delete.

3. Click "Delete This Posting" and then click "Delete."

Email

1. Locate the Craigslist email that was used to publish the ad.

2. Click the link in the email.

3. Click "Edit This Posting" and then click "Delete This Posting."

Tips & Warnings

• If you have a Craigslist account and the posting is less than 48 hours old, you can undelete the posting by returning to your account, selecting "Manage" and then clicking "Undelete This Posting" to restore the ad.
