      Place the knead bar over the shaft on the bread pan supplied with the West Bend 41086 breadmaker

      Place the ingredients for your bread in a mixing bowl per the instructions listed in your recipe. It is very important that you use the correct measuring cups and spoons for accurate measurements. If you do not accurately measure, your bread might not rise or bake correctly. Do not mix the ingredients. The breadmaker will do that for you.

      Place the bread pan into the base of the breadmaker and turn the pan to the left counterclockwise to lock it in place. Once the pan is in place, close the front door on the breadmaker.

      Plug the breadmaker into an electrical outlet. You'll know the West Bend 41086 breadmaker has power when you hear a beep. Inspect the display menu. The "Basic/Specialty" setting should be illuminated.
