Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a small crochet hook, approximately a size 5. Place the crochet hook under the sweater where the snag is located through to the front.

    • 2

Use the crochet hook and pull the loose yarn through to the back of the sweater, and turn the sweater inside out.

    • 3

Make a loop using the crochet hook out of the loose yarn and then pull the loose end of the yarn through the loop to make a knot.

    • 4

Purchase some unraveling liquid a fabric store. This liquid is used to prevent the knot from unraveling. Place a small amount of the liquid on the knot. If you cannot purchase unraveling liquid, you can use clear nail polish. Make sure the knot is large enough to prevent any liquid or nail polish from getting through to the sweater.

    • 5

Allow the unraveling liquid or nail polish to dry completely and turn the sweater right side out. Stretch the sweater very gently to smooth out any wrinkles that may have been caused by the snag. The next time you wash the sweater, be sure to lay it out to dry and do not dry it in the dryer. Allowing a sweater to lay flat to dry prevents any further snagging.
