How to Stick Weave
Stick weaving is a versatile and quick way to create long chains or belts of fabric. The number of sticks you weave with depends on how thick you want your fabric. You need at least two sticks to weave. Beginners should practice weaving with thicker sticks, while advanced users can use thinner ones.

1
Cut three pieces of yarn, each should be double the length of your desired belt. For example, if you want a 24-inch belt, cut 48-inch piece of yarn.
-
2
Thread the yarn through the hole at the end of the weaving stick. Fold the yarn in half and knot the tail ends together. Repeat with the remaining sticks and pieces of yarn.

3
Hold the sticks upright in one hand, like a fan. Take one end of the yarn and make a loop around the first stick. Tie to secure in place. Wrap the yarn over the first stick, behind the middle stick and over of the third stick. Bring back around behind the third stick, in front of the middle stick and behind the first stick.
-
4
Follow this weaving pattern until you have several layers of string on the sticks. Slide the loops down the sticks and onto the yarn (attached to the sticks).
-
5
Continue weaving on the sticks and pushing down the loops. The loops on the yarn are your belt.
-
6
To finish the belt, push the final loops as far down as you can, onto the yarn. Cut the yarn off of the sticks --- you should have three pairs of yarn strings. Tie each pair in a double knot.
