Click or tap your device's "Application Store." Navigate to the "Search" field, type in "Facebook" and hit or tap "Enter."

Hover your finger or cursor over the application's listing in your results and click or tap "Install." Facebook Mobile is a free application no matter which smartphone you use -- if a search result that comes up has a price listed next to it, it is not the actual Facebook application.
