How to Delete a User Account on a Mac Running Snow Leopard thumbnail
You can delete a user account from your Mac using System Preferences.

When multiple people have access to a Mac running OS X 10.6, also known as "Snow Leopard," the computer's owner or administrator can set up a user account for each person to keep separate files, folders and preferences. If you no longer want a person to have access to the computer, you can delete the user account. For example, you might set up an account for a roommate or for a guest to use your computer temporarily and then want to delete the user account when that person is no longer staying with you.

Instructions

Log in to the Mac with an administrator account.

    • 2

Click the "Apple" logo at the top-left corner of the Finder menu and then click "System Preferences."

    • 3

      Click "Accounts."

    • 4

Click the icon of the lock at the bottom of the Accounts window and then type your password at the prompt.
